Public and Corporate Finance

JACK NELSON JONES has developed a strong reputation for providing quality services in the public and corporate finance area. The firm has participated in hundreds of tax exempt and taxable public finance transactions representing issuers as bond counsel as well as serving as underwriter’s counsel, issuer’s counsel and special tax counsel.

These transactions have involved issuers ranging from cities, counties, volunteer fire departments, public facility boards, public building authorities and improvement districts to private schools, universities and colleges in Arkansas and in many other states from coast to coast.

The firm has served as bond counsel for several local entities including University of Central Arkansas located in Conway, Arkansas, the fastest growing four-year institution of higher education in Arkansas, and the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas with respect to one of the initial tax increment financing transactions in Arkansas.

The firm has represented Arkansas' largest commercial real estate company in transactional and litigation matters. Our attorneys also represented the owner of Arkansas' largest commercial office building from the building’s development through its refinancing and in day-to-day dealings with tenants and lender. Additionally, our firm has provided legal advice to several of the largest real estate and multi-family developers in the North Central Arkansas area.
