Biography:

Jessalynn Born was born in Claremore, Oklahoma and raised in Beebe, Arkansas. After graduating from Beebe High School, Ms. Born attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional and Technical Writing. While attending college, Ms. Born obtained her Paralegal Certification from Arkansas State University and worked as a paralegal for Carney Williams Bates Pulliam & Bowman, PLLC, a preeminent class action firm, where she worked closely on several securities, drug-recall, and environmental cases. Prior to law school, Ms. Born also worked as contracts review manager for a national IT staffing firm.

Ms. Born attended the University of Arkansas William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock, Arkansas where she graduated with honors. While attending law school, Ms. Born worked as a law clerk for David Hodges Law Firm, assisting in several nursing-home-neglect and other tort cases. Ms. Born worked for the General Counsel of the University of Arkansas System, which provides legal services to eleven University of Arkansas colleges, the Clinton School, the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Institute, the Arkansas School for Math and Science, and several other learning institutions. Ms. Born also represented indigent tax payers before the Internal Revenue Service in the Bowen School of Law Tax Clinic.

Ms. Born began her employment with Jack Nelson Jones & Bryant, P.A. in August 2010. Ms. Born’s practice includes labor and employment litigation, commercial litigation and transactions, and estate planning. In addition, Ms. Born helps to draft the firm’s many articles and contributions in several publications including the Arkansas Employment Newsletter, The Daily Record Newspaper of Law and Business Information, the Arkansas section of 50 Employment Laws in 50 States, the Arkansas section of Covenants in Competition in Franchising Agreements 50 State Survey of Law, and other various seminar papers.
