Jack Nelson Jones Fink Jiles & Gregory, P.A., began in 1986 as Jack, Lyon & Jones, P.A. In August of 2007, longtime members and partners of the firm, Sheffield Nelson, John W. “Jack” Fink, Gary D. Jiles and Joseph W. Gregory joined Donald T. Jack, Jr. and Stephen W. Jones in renaming the firm.
The firm has steadily grown to meet the increasing needs of its clients and has become recognized as one of the premier general business law firms in Arkansas. The Little Rock office is located on the 34th floor of the Metropolitan Bank Building and is the home office for fourteen of the firm’s attorneys; however, the firm serves the entire state of Arkansas. In 1999, the firm opened its office in Conway to better serve clients in that area. The firm also began serving clients from its location in Malvern in June of 2007.
Our firm provides the extensive representation usually associated with larger firms, while retaining the personalized service and efficiency of a smaller firm. Our attorneys believe they offer the best legal service available and make themselves accessible to clients twenty-four hours a day.
The firm’s broad practice is paralleled by the diversity of its clients, which range from large corporations and local family-owned businesses to non-profit organizations and individuals. Our practice serves today's demand for comprehensive legal experience and expertise with special emphasis on law regarding corporations and businesses, public finance, employment and labor, civil rights, health care, securities, banking, tax planning and controversies, bankruptcy on behalf of creditors, real estate, environmental, estate planning, debt collections, transactions and commercial litigation.
Our attorneys are particularly sensitive to expense of legal representation, especially the high cost of litigation. Therefore, we participate in alternative fee arrangements and endeavor to resolve disputes in the most cost effective manner by endorsing mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
The attorneys in our firm are well known in legal circles throughout the nation. In addition to being regular contributors to various legal journals, the attorneys frequently present seminars to industry groups, lawyers and individual businesses. Our attorneys are very active in various Arkansas Bar Association and American Bar Association committees. We are also involved in numerous community charities, non-profit boards and fund-raising activities.
In 2006, our firm joined MSI Global Alliance, an international association of independent professional firms consisting of lawyers, accountants, tax consultants, certified auditors and offshore service providers. With more than 240 member firms in 95 countries, MSI joins high-quality professional firms to create its exclusive international network, collaboratively meeting the needs of the global business community.
Our firm is also a member of the Employers Counsel Network (ECN), a network of highly respected law firms from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Canada, which advise and represent employers regarding workplace issues and disputes.
In 2007, Bruce H. Phillips and Philip K. Lyon formed the now separate and independent Nashville firm of Lyon & Phillips, P.L.L.C. Attorneys with Lyon and Phillips focus on the entertainment industry and intellectual property matters.
