Biography:

Mika Shadid Tucker was born and raised in North Little Rock, Arkansas. After graduating from North Little Rock High School, Ms. Tucker attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville as a University Scholar. While studying Public Relations and Advertising, Ms. Tucker served as President of the Student Advertising Association, held several Public Relations internships and was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

While attending law school at UALR Bowen School of Law, Ms. Tucker worked at the Prosecutor’s Office for the Sixth Judicial District as an Arkansas Supreme Court Certified Rule XV law clerk. As a student attorney in the UALR Bowen School of Law’s Litigation Clinic, she counseled and represented a juvenile defendant against robbery charges. She also clerked for Perroni, James and House, P.A. during several law school semesters.

Ms. Tucker's practice at Jack Nelson Jones is devoted primarily to trial work, including employment law defense, tort litigation, commercial litigation and appellate advocacy. She has served as lead counsel in trials, mediations and administrative proceedings.

Ms. Tucker gratefully serves two local institutions that had significant roles in her childhood. She has represented her alma mater, the North Little Rock School District, with respect to desegregation matters. Also, Ms. Tucker serves on the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Committee for the Future Executive Board benefiting the hospital at which she underwent heart surgery in 1983.

Ms. Tucker is married to fellow UALR Bowen School of Law graduate, Carson Tucker.
