Biography:
Gary D. Jiles was born in Newport, Arkansas. He lived in Newport until August 1981, when he moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas to attend the University of Arkansas.
While at the University of Arkansas, Mr. Jiles majored in Accounting and was inducted as a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and Beta Gamma Sigma. In May 1985, Mr. Jiles obtained his B.S.B.A. with honors from the Sam Walton College of Business. During the same month, Mr. Jiles also successfully completed the Certified Public Accountant Examination on his first attempt.
In August of 1985, Mr. Jiles began law school at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law and graduated with honors in May of 1988. Mr. Jiles has been with the firm since its inception, as he began working as a law clerk for Jack, Lyon & Jones, P. A., now JACK NELSON JONES JILES & GREGORY, P.A., in August of 1986 when the firm opened.
Mr. Jiles and his family moved to Conway, Arkansas in August of 1993, where he has served in various leadership roles and become actively involved in the community. Mr. Jiles served as Chairman of the Board of the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce in 2005, and as the President of the Faulkner County Bar Association in 2007. Mr. Jiles is a 1997 graduate of the Faulkner County Leadership Institute. He manages the firm’s office in Conway, which opened in 1999.
Mr. Jiles and his wife, Lisa, have two children. Their daughter, Katie, attends the University of Arkansas. Their son, Trevor, attends Conway High School. Mr. Jiles’ wife, Lisa, is also actively involved in the community and served on the Board of Directors for HAVEN from 2002 to 2005.
